The Birding Adventures of the Jerryatric

It all began in San Diego with a dream -- to sail my boat under the Golden Gate Bridge standing on the bow yelling “Kick Ass”.  That goal was accomplished on July 12th, 2007, but the adventure didn’t stop there.  My new found home, the Bay Area, offered a thousand miles of bays and Delta waterways to explore.  Somewhere along the way I got interested in the coastal birds of California and a new passion, Kick Ass Birding, was born.

Turns out my boat, the Jerryatric, and dinghy, the Pediatric, are perfect platforms for observing the wildlife we share this unique environment with.  They seem to sense I’m armed with only a camera and pose no threat.  Some even stop by each day to say “Good Morning”.  Using “blogs” and photos I’ll share my encounters with the creatures I’ve met along the way.
