I've always had this dream of living on a boat and sailing under THE Golden Gate Bridge standing on the bow yelling Kick Ass. That accomplished, after sailing up the coast from San Diego, I found myself living on my boat in the Bay Area with over a thousand miles of waterways in a virtual "birders" paradise. KickAssBirding was born.

After two years of exploring the Bay Area and California Delta it's time to move on. The Jerryatric is sold, a 5th Wheel "land yacht" is purchased and new adventures are on the horizon for 2011. Exploring the inland Southwest will provide ample opportunity to add to the "shore birds" of the last couple of years. "Wanderings" will detail individual adventures and, of course, the birds will be posted in their albums. Welcome to the new "land based" version of Kick Ass Birding and More.
